The Street Orienteering season kicks off on Tuesday 10th September for 2019/2020 in Hampton Wick.
The venue is The Lion Pub, 27 Wick Road, Hampton Wick, TW11 9DN. Food and drink is available for purchase afterwards. Due to electronic timing you can start anytime between 18:00 and 19:30.
You have one hour to find as many clues as you can – race, run or walk as you wish! It’s certainly not rocket science (or I wouldn’t be doing them!). A specially produced street map will be provided, as well as a timing chip, so all you need to bring is some running gear, a watch and a pen. You only have an hour to accumulate as many points as possible; over the hour and you will lose points accordingly. You can run in groups if you are worried or just not sure.
All under 16s must run with an adult (insurance purposes). It’s like a glorified treasure hunt. Entry is under £5, so what could be a better way to spend a Tuesday evening?
If you are not sure, and would like to talk to someone before taking part – just ask me, Bob, or respond to this notice.
Any information that you may need on Street-Os can be found here:
Maps are not cheap to produce, so it would help the organisers if you could prewarn them that you are coming via Facebook
